Town of Herceg Novi (20000
inhabitants) is located at the entrance, of one of the most
beautiful bays in the world, of Boka Kotorska.
City of Herceg Novi is the administrative, cultural, and economic center
for the county of Herceg Novi which is inhabited by 42.000 inhabitants.
County of Herceg Novi extends between the border crossing with Croatia
and passage in the bay of Boka Kotorska.

Average annual temperature is 16.2 C (similar to Mediterranean cities of
Naples and Lisbon).

daily temperature fluctuation is only 4 C.
Average temperature from May to September is about 25 C, which provides
a swimming season over 5 months long since the average summer sea
temperature is rather high, between 22 - 26 C.

HERCEG NOVI RIVIERA is 15 km long and comprises 7 towns, each one having
unique features.
MELJINE - 3 km east of Herceg Novi having 1,150 inhabitants. The most
significant cultural-historic value is Lazaret, which dates back to 1732
and it is included in the Master Development Plan of Montenegro.
ZELENIKA (Mediterranean wintergreen plant) - 4.5 km east of Herceg Novi
(2,830 inhabitants). In 1902, the first hotel on the Southern Adriatic
was built here. Sacral objects: Churches from 15th, 16th and 18th century
KUMBOR is 6 km from Herceg Novi. Its name originates from the Italian
term “conborgo” (a suburb of the old city of Stoli). It has about 950
inhabitants. Sacral objects: Churches from 15th, 16th, 18th and 20th century
ĐENOVIĆI - 8 km from Herceg Novi (1,500 inhabitants). Its name
originates from the last name Đonović from 1540, and over time, it has
been transformed into its present name. It has , and is the smallest
towns in the municipality. There is a Culture Center built in 1985,

BAOŠIĆI - 12 km east of Herceg Novi, 1,080 inhabitants.

BIJELA is situated 13 km from Herceg Novi, with over 4,000 inhabitants.

KAMENARI - 15 km east from Herceg Novi in the Boka Kotorska (1,040
inhabitants). There is a ferry going from Kamenari to Lepetane.

LUŠTICA is a peninsula located at the right of the entrance of the Bay
of Kotor. It covers an area of 47 km2 and it is 13 km long. Its highest
point is the hill OBOSNIK 582 m. It has an extraordinarily lavish, 35 km
long coastline, which represents 12% of the overall length of the
Montenegrin shore.
IGALO (8,000 inhabitants) is the center of the Montenegrin health
tourism. It is well known for being a tourist resort due to radioactive,
medical sea mud from the BLATNA PLAZA (OLD SPA). Its adjacent town is
NJIVICE known for a nudist beach and the Queen’s beach. |
